Anyone have a Domke F-808? I have a big work laptop, Thinkpad T60... and would like to schlep it, random papers, etc... and possibly my m6 or e-p1.
Apparently this guy does:

I like my Lima too, particularly during transport. Nice protective padding. However, when "in field" at destination, I've been using the middle Bare Bones Bag (BBB). The nice thing about the BBB is that it can lay rather flat, flat enough that I can place it into larger suitcase during transport.I have a Naneu Pro "Lima", which is their smallest messanger bag and I love it. Fits my M4-P and Rollei or my Hasselblad plus 60mm lens and two backs. Anyway, the next size up in messenger bags has a laptop compartment in addition to the camera inserts.
I got the Naneu Pro Tango first. Honestly, somehow the Lima seems better executed. But then, I got the Lima a couple of years after the Tango, so perhaps that's a factor.
One thing that bugs me about the Tango is that is has some messenger-style strap. However, for me, being 6'4", and about 235, I found that messenger strap to be horribly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, that strap does not detach from the bag, but instead packs into a back pocket. I say unfortunately because this only makes a rather bulky bag even bulkier. The Tango is also fairly heavy. Well padded, but of course that means it isn't lite. So, I'm getting to the point where I'm not so fond of the Tango anymore.
So, now I'm wondering myself about a laptop bag/backpack (I tend to prefer messenger-style bags) that at times can also handle a rangefinder.
And yes, since I have and like my BBB, I'm giving serious thought to the Courierware laptop bag. I do like how they are extremely accommodating in terms of customizing the bag. Eric has been very kind and patient in answering my questions. Also, the Courierware bag would be a whole lot less heavy than the Tango, and right now with some minor back troubles, I have to admit that's a huge plus for me!
I'm also curious about the Tim Bihn (Ego, ID, Empire Builder) bags. They seem nicely designed, have what seems to be good laptop protection, but not so sure how camera gear might fit into these. Also, I tend to prefer more understated bags like the Courierware.

Messenger Bag with a Temba insert
Messenger Bag with a Temba insert
I use a Patagonia messenger bag with a laptop sleeve and a Temba Messenger bag insert ($20 bought at Adoroma). It works great for travel because I can use it as a laptop bag or a camera bag or both and it doesnt look like a laptop bag or a camera bag. The Temba insert has movable inserts and I hold a Panasonic G1, 20mm pancake, 14-45 zoom, and a Voigtlander Vitomatic II RF all in the messenger bag. Works great and it doesnt look like a camera bag.
