I want to open a Summarit 50mm f2 lens for internal cleaning of the lens elements. I need to purchase an adjustable spanner wrench and am curious which ones you all like.
Here is my lens. It's producing soft images. I hope it will clean up, because I just had the body serviced and the only other lens I have is the 35mm Elmar, which is in the same condition.

That's just Leica "glow". You could use a drain stopper if you really need to take it apart. Until I got my set of spanners, I always used non-knurled jeweler's pliers. Sometimes I still have to.

Here are some spanners that are currently available.

I have the latter two, as well as SK Grimes, and to start out I would recommend the last one pictured above. It locks down tight with a hex wrench, and you can grind down the replaceable tips with a Dremel tool.
