Hi.

My father forgot to change the ISO dial on his Bessa R2M after shooting a roll of Reala and then loaded a roll of HP5+. So I ended up with a roll of HP5+ shot at 100 ISO that I have to develop 😉.

I only use HC-110. According to the massive development chart, 6.5 mins dil H, 21ºC should do it.

Does anybody have any recommendations for developing this roll?.

I usually develop HP5+ shot at 400 ISO with 5 mins, dil B as Ilford recommends.

Thanks.

A long while ago I shot a roll of FP4+ with a lens that had a sticky diaphragm on a sunny day. Meaning: All pictures were severly overexposed. FP4+ and HP5+ can take massive amounts of overexposure so the negs were still very usable.

If the massive dev chart has a solution for you, use it. HP5+ is so forgiving the negs will be fine even when you do standard processing.

I've just developed the roll and came out great!!. A bit less contrasty than the ISO 400 HP5+ rolls I normally develop, which is good. Negs seem to have a greater tonal range than usual. I have to research dil H more, as I know one of its side effects is the extended tonal range although it increases grain.

I'll see when I scan the negs.

Thanks all.
