need ebay advice

i have a hood coming that i have paid for -

it's been almost 2 months and i have not heard from the seller despite sending 3 emails to her.
i wanted to confirm payment received and if hood had been sent yet. but no reply.

i have no idea who to contact at ebay. i can't seem to find the right area to find that info.
i'd prefer not to give negative feedback without some communication.

any advice?

oh man, i just checked her feedback again and she has 11 negatives this past month alone.

but something is odd here as she has over 3000 transactions.

guess, i'll write this sale off.

You shouldn't even wait two months - I think you have 30 days to file a complaint. (w/ PayPal, too).

I would definitely leave negative feedback and I'd post her Ebay ID here to save the rest of us from running into grief with her.

something must've happened to her. file a complaint with ebay, just so they know. they might even give you a refund. most important thing is to save the webpage and note her username. fire off a note every month if you want. maybe she'll get things back in order.

i have a good ebay story. i bought a rolleiflex family tree poster from a guy and it took 6 months to arrive. he had a heart attack, then got shingles in the brain, moved across the country, and forgot where he put the poster. we were in contact a couple times, but mostly i wondered what was going on. anyhow, all's well that ends well. he recovered and the poster is hanging on my wall.

I bought a "new" MP3 player for one of my kids a few months ago on eBay. When it arrived it turned out to be refurbished, at least that's what the package said.

I sent many emails, first asking for a new replacement, then asking for a 33% refund. Not a single reply for ages then suddenly I got an apologetic email and the refund popped into my eBay account.

This seller also had 3 or 4000+ sales, and was shipping from warehouses and never handled the product. She also began to get a large number of negatives shortly after I ordered and I just figured that the business had gotten too much for her.

I never even considered writing negative feedback, that's just an invitation for the other party to reciprocate. I would do what aizan suggests, just keep tabs on it and fire off a reminder every month or so and you may get lucky.

The MP3 player is going great and my kid loves it. 🙂

I've just let a neutral evaluation to one seller as the digital camera (finepix s7000) ordered for my father was delivered without lens cap and strap. So the seller did the same for me. But I don't regret as I payed him 30min only after winning the auction. It makes me mad when I do my best to be polite with the seller and when answers are small and without details.

So before sending a negative feedback, you'd better think of it before. The best would be first to ask ebay, they sometimes remove some auction when the seller's account has been compromised. I hope that it's not the case for you. Two months without response is too much.

You can request the seller's contact information (mailing address and telephone number) and usually this is the first step eBay asks you to do in conflict resolution. They give you this information if you are involved with a transaction, which you are -- you will need to provide the item number with your request. The information comes instantly through e-mail back to you. I have had instances where just the request for this information prompts the seller to send an item if it is late (had this happen recently). Although probably rare there must be occurences where otherwise good people have computer trouble or other problems -- it could be the case here since she picked up so many negatives in a short period of time, or some other legitimate problem perhaps.
