Hello,
I intend to develop color films by myself. I have developed with BW already so now I would like to try with color. I have some rolls of Kodak Portra 400 which haven't been developed yet so I intend to buy Kodak developer to process them. But I don't know what is the items I should buy? Can I reuse any chemical from BW or not? I am using Sprint for BW.

Thank you!

Don't buy chemicals individually, and don't use b+w chemicals. There are C-41 kits on the market that are ideal for doing small batches. They are sold under a few names, like Tetenal, Jobo and Unicolor. I have used the $20 Jobo powder kit which was easy. There are liquid kits as well.

Look at the 1L Unicolour C41 kit on the B&H site and the 1LKodak C41 kit on the Photographers Formulary site. Depending on where you are shipping liquid (Kodak kit) can't be done or can be quite expensive. I'm going to order the powder kit from B&H to get started.

The best and most secure way for DIY is to buy the C-41 kits, they are available under various names. If you find the import costs too high then check the following sites for mixing your own chemicals:
