need help- yashica 35 CCN

Hi,
it seems something's wrong with my new toy:
the green battery lamp has been shinging in green when pushed at the button, but the shutter speed keeps the same click at whatever f stops i change, seems like 1/500 ? i have changed 2 sets of batteries but the camera refused to change to any other speed.
i take out the batteries and found the camera fires at the same click...
Does this mean the camera's lighter has been dead?

It could be as simple a problem as a broken connection... or it could be a dead CDS cell or capacitor or transistor.

If you're not willing to try to repair it yourself, you'll have to contact Mark Hama. I'm not sure if camerarefurb.com works on the Electro CC / CCN.
