Need info on Univ. Camera Corp "Meteor"

I found one at a local Goodwill yesterday that seems to be in fairly good condition. It came with its original box, instructions, and even a little Kodak film exposure guide leaflet. A nifty buy for $6.98US.

I've scoured the web for a page that gives date of manufacture and other such information on Universal Camera Corporation's "Meteor" camera model. I've read on one page and some ebay auctions where people were able to find out when and where the camera was made, and even who assembled it. (This particular camera's model number is 102383)

Any nudging in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to the picture on this page, the Meteor has a simple lens (meniscus?) with f-stops from F/11 to F/32. The shutter is single speed (usually 1/50sec.), so with 100 ISO film you would use F/22 for sunshine and F/16 in open shade. 400 ISO film will allow you to shoot in (relatively) darker places.

The camera uses 620 film, so you'll need to respool to be able to use 120 film.
