The following items are free to whomever can put 'em to good use:

  • (Gone to tuanvinh2000) Balda Baldamatic II. Average cosmetic condition but R/F and shutter seem to work (R/F alignment adjustment is easily accessible if you need it). Focus is a little stiff and aperture selection takes some muscle; on the other hand the meter is still alive and the glass is clean. With some slight TLC this could be a neat little travel companion.
  • (Gone to jwicaksana) Vivitar Series 1, 70-210mm f/3.5 Macro Focussing Auto Zoom. Nikon AI mount, with front and rear caps. Clean and working, but the hood disappeared years ago.
  • (Gone to johannielscom) Vivitar Series 1, 35-85mm f/2.8 Auto Variable Focussing zoom. Olympus OM mount, with front and rear caps and correct hood. Clean glass, smooth zoom and focussing, snappy aperture.
  • (Gone to Joe Jesus) Ditto 35-85mm f/2.8 in Nikon AI mount, with caps and hood.
  • (Gone to JWilson) Ditto 35-85mm f/2.8 in Pentax K mount, with caps and hood. This one is slightly stiff to zoom, and has slight blemishing on one internal surface (which shouldn't affect the final image). Focus is still smooth and easy.

I'll start with one item per person. Pick-up near Aldgate, London, is preferred, but I don't mind posting abroad if you're patient. 🙂

Update (30/05/2014): All gone. PM me you details, ladies and germs, and I'll start posting next week.

While it's quiet here, I'm taking my chance to thank you again for Ricoh Five-One-Nine I received from you some years ago during Christmas giveaway. I got it working but then discovered I've overlooked aperture and sometimes it makes irregular opening but couldn't remove lens to access internals in proper way (my thread on lens spanner in Repair subforum). Long story short, I learned how to do it other ways with tools I have and I had couple of nice hours with Seiko - cleaned blade by blade both aperture and shutter and after putting all bits back aperture now opens right way. It is on my shortlist, roll through FON to be developed in LC29 dilution equivalent to HC100 dil H.

Have a good light!

I would like the balda, but i am in new york. Pls let me know what the shipping will cost and i will send it to you. Thx.

I would take the balda if its still available. Plan to give it to a friend who is new to film. Would be a good intro to rf for him. I can meet in person to pick up (or my friend in london will do).

Just curious why you don't like the 35-85 any longer. Granted it is variable focus, heavy as all get out, and not necessarily the favorite zoom range any longer. But still a really nice lens. It just helps to have a sherpa along.

tuanvinh2000 - the Balda is yours. PM me and we'll sort out the handover.
dtcls100 - sorry, tuanvinh2000 wins out by being local. I'll keep you in mind if he drops out. In the meantime, do any of the lenses take your fancy?

oftheherd - I seem to be sticking to primes now. Fine lenses though these are (and the 70-210mm is no slouch, either), they've sat unused for over a year. I'd rather they went
to someone who'll keep them busy.

Any love for your mate in Indonesia, a Vivitar tele lens, perhaps? 😀
If at all possible, I am happy to discuss shipping. Thanks in advance.

... and that's the lot spoken for.

Final list:
  • Baldamatic II for tuanvinh2000.
  • 70-210mm f/3.5 for jwicaksana.
  • 35-85mm f/2.8 (Olympus) for johannielscom.
  • 35-85mm f/2.8 (Nikon) for Joe Jesus.
  • 35-85mm f/2.8 (Pentax) for JWilson.

Many thanks. Please PM me your details if you haven't already done so.
