I normally only get 4 hours sleep each night, so I was awake at 2:00am this morning and just watched the ceiling until around 3 when I heard a couple of car doors on the side street outside our bedroom. Naturally, I went to the window and saw a car parked 30 yards farther up at the stop sign with brake lights on.
So, I flipped on the flood lights and within a few seconds two tall teenagers went running by our bathroom window carrying some large objects, jumped in the car and drove off at a high rate of speed. 911 and three black and whites later, we went next door and awakened the neighbors to tell them they had yard decorations stolen although they ran when I flipped on the lights.
Halloween is starting early.😡
So, what are your recommendations for providing some security measures around the perimeter of the house short of me sitting in a chair with a side-by-side shotgun?😉
