Hi,I recently acqiured a Fed2d in really nice shape.I used Laikas sticky and did a nice job on the top and now it's great. Now I need some advice and direction. The 1/25 is really slow and the self timer doesn't work.Where can I find Fed 2 info.to tackle these problems?I've looked at a bunch of sites but none are Fed2 specific. Is this job too much for a novice? Thanks for all your help in advance. Hi robin a,
Try this link. It may be more than you really wanted, but it is a start.

I'm going to partly repeat a former post, but it gets my count back up!
Robin, I'm sure someone will be able to help - but if you're working on Soviet cameras it's a good idea to have THE book: Isaac Maizenberg's Design and Repair of Russian Cameras. Originally published in the USSR and refined over several editions, it tells you the lot. I've just looked at a few sites and it doesn't seem to be currently available in the States, so it could be rather expensive: the British publishers/suppliers are here: http://www.oldtimercameras.com/manua...a-manuals.html
Cheers, Ian
