Hey there guys,
First an introduction sort of, I post normally in the FSU forum and occasionally actually contribute meaningful things
. Anyway, I had an unfortunate accident with one of my main shooters the other day. My cat knocked it off the table and caused, luckily, some minor cosmetic damage. The shooter in question is my battle-tested F3. Yes, it is an actual combat survivor (desert storm). Now, I know that this is a rangefinder forum, but it is the first place I thought to check. I need the right hand top cover for an F3. I have searched the 'bay, but no luck. I was hoping that some one here might know of a place to look for Nikon replacement parts. I have also searched Pacific Rim and KEH with the same results. I have fixed the dent, but it still looks pretty rugged. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ken

Speaking about Desert Storm...last year I was given a camera that saw service in 'Nam. Now that thing was rugged looking!

yeah, mine is a bit rough around the edges. The bottom plate is engraved 'US air force combat camera' and it took about 3 cleanings to get all the sand out of it. I bought it at a gov't surplus auction back in '92 or '93. Everything else in the auction was recycled from Desert Storm. So it is actually a guess that it saw combat. Anyways, thanks for the ideas, I will check with those guys.

You might try these guys:
http://www.authorizedphotoservice.com/
or
The head bartender (Stephen of www.cameraquest.com fame). He has a few things up his sleeve that could help.
Sorry, I do not have anything F3ish.

Shooter of Film...
Try the "BAY" and look under "Nikon F3 parts/repair" or "as is" or "not/non working" or "broken"...
