When I'm in Photoshop should I be editing with the proof setup to Windows RGB or Monitor RGB?
The last picture I edited looks completely different when I open in in Firefox. I think it was because I edited as with Windows RGB and Firefox used the Monitor RGB.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I gotta edit these by tomorrow and bring them to the lab before school to get printed. I don't want the prints to look different than whats on the monitor because I won't have time to redo anything.
Is your monitor calibrated? If your monitor isn't calibrated, you need to work on your files with a computer/monitor that is. Barring that, maybe the people at the lab can do the color correction for you... I know that's a crap shoot, but it's better than nothing.
It's Friday. Did you make your deadline? Are you going to share your photos with us? I for one am curious to see your work. We've all had a hand in their production.
Sorry. I got the photos printed and turned in on time. I found out yesterday that I made it past the regional contest and am now going to be competing with people all over the country. If I win, my parents are going to buy me a Coolscan 9000 which I really want before I start uploading pictures to the web.
Here are the 8 photos I entered into the portfolio. Please tell me what you think. The reason some of them look so crazy is because they were cross-processed. I still have a lot I need to learn about scanning, photoshop, color, etc. Also, my monitor is not calibrated at all. Thats another thing I need to learn about.
Some very strong images there, Jeremy. Great use of color and solid compositions. I think probably to my eye, the man in the bookstore and the airplane shot are the weakest, but still nice, and they work as a group. (the No Diving shot is my favorite).
