As mentioned in an other post, I've a contract for at least two years (it'll probably be extended) doing commercial product photography. M9 along with assorted lenses and off camera lighting are my tools. This set of tools has been used in studio environment for portraits and fashion photography, as well as for event photography. However due to the lack of liveview and parallax, the M9 is not working out for my current assignment. All the photos from the current assignment will either be posted online or printed on product boxes.
I am considering one of two options:
1). Sell the M9 and a lens, and upgrade to the new M
Or
2). Sell the M9 retain all the lenses and purchase the Oly M and a Panny zoom

*I've been using a borrowed Canon 40D and 70-200mm f/2.8, which has confirmed my utter disgust for the interface.

I'm leaning more towards option 1 and sticking it out with the Canon until I take delivery of the new M. I just can't imagine life without the Leica interface. The Oly on the other hand offers a swivel screen that will come in really handy. I need the camera to be able to send the liveview signal out via USB for the 360 photos I'm creating. Since the 40D can mange this, I'm assuming both the Leica and the Oly ought to as well.
At this point, image quality isn't a concern, as both of these models will deliver more than adequate resolution for what the images will be used for.
Lastly, at the end of the assignment I will purchase whichever Leica rangefinder is available hence the need to preserve as many of the lenses as possible.
