I haven't got a huge budget, about £150 maximum.Whats a good scanner to buy for that amount.I dont think I would ever print more than 12x8 or something like that.Any ideas.......?????
if it's going to be a dedicated film scanner you can't beat the Minolta Scan Dual IV. 3200 DPI resolution produces terrific results. I realize that Minolta has shut down their camera division, but there's plenty of service outlets. BTW the Scan DualIV is strictly for 35mm
Hi guys,
I just want to scan 35mm negs and slides.I have had a few people point me in the direction of the Plustek optic 7200 saying it has won loads of awards etc.Anyone used this baby???

If you just want negatives, or even mostly negatives, the Epson 4490 (and I guess 4990) are great both in quality and ease of use. The Minolta SD IV will pull more detail out of slides, but is a little more fiddly. You can see some shots on another thread.
