I went to the B&H site to order some more rolls of neopan 1600, and the site says "Discontinued," not the usual "Out of stock." 🙁

All they have are rolls that are recently expired. Was there an announcement about neopan 1600 being discontinued? I did a search and nothing came up. Hmmm.....

Still on fujifilmusa.com as well. Probably B&H is discontinuing it, which just means you have to buy it somewhere else. Please don't start threads like this.

I saw the film discontinued on BH as well. I checked other sites like Adorama and Freestyle which still carry and sell the film.

Maybe BH didn't sell enough of them to continue stocking them, who knows...

Seems hard to believe - they are such a high volume seller, and their prices are always quite good. Adorama is listed as "out of stock." The other sites seem to have stock. Maybe I'll give them a call to find out what's up...

I sent a message to my contacts in Fuji. I'll let you guys know... I doubt it is being discontinued and maybe they are releasing an update in Photokina? Otherwise, you can always push the Neopan 400 to 1600.

Well, just spoke to B&H on the phone. I was told that its discontinued because it is no longer being sold by Fuji. As far as he knows, it is not being replaced with a new line.

Obviously, it would be nice to have confirmation from another source but...

Wow...😱

I just got back my prints today from 2 rolls I did at a recent wedding. This is bad news because it gave the shots such a great texture.

OK, folks... Straight from the horse's mouth. Neopan 1600 is NOT being discontinued... BTW, Freestyle has them in stock.

BTW, I know that Neopan 400 pushes nicely to 1600 but 1600 pushes to 3200 🙂

Cheers,

I would be suprised if Fuji discontinued any of their relatively popular films as film seems to retain a strong following in Japan, more so that in other parts of the world.

Gosh had this been true, I don't know what I would have done. Apart from Delta 3200, Neopan 1600 is my stock low light gig photography film.

Damnit, now I've reminded myself of how much I'd want to go and jam down the local jazz club but it's a working night!

Thank you deeply for the clarification.
