I know there are already a bunch of Neopan 1600 threads floating around, but there's not much talk of using it with DD-X. So, I'm looking for input from those who use this combo.
The recommended time for Neopan 1600 @1600 in DD-X, 1:4, is 5 mins...a little shorter than I like. How does this time work for you?
Has anyone tried it with DD-X diluted 1:9? Does that result in more accutance or bigger grain? What was your time?
Has anyone tried stand development to lower contrast...or is that a bad idea?
I did a stupid thing and shot three rolls at a couple of friends' weddings (not as the official photog), so I plan to shoot a few test rolls before developing the important ones. I just want to get my tests started off right. I scan my film, so lower contrast and smoother grain are good.
Thanks,
Paul
