I like the look, but it's certainly clear why digital has taken over low-light shooting.
i completely agree with you on this one!Its because Joe the photographer likes to photograph low light without any respect for "low light". The shots above indicate the mood of low light and they're elegant and mysterious.
You can shoot the same scene at ISO 6400 with a D3 and it will look like just another normal shot at available light.
Photography is about aesthetics, not utility.

This is all shot with Neopan 1600 as well, at 1000. It certainly is a great film...
