Well, im very new to film developing (only started a month ago), and had never tried pushing film.
I bought a coupe rolls of Neopan SS the other week and thought i'd shoot a roll to test it out this week. Only thing is half way through the roll i noticed the camera was set to 400iso. Thought it was a good opportunity to try my first push developing.
I normally develop with rodinal, but could hardly find any times for the films rated speed, let alone 400. So i decided ot make a totally uneducated guess and i got lucky.
This is my first attempt though, so i'm happy to take advice on how to do/not do things in the future. Do they look ok? I think some of the tones are nice, and grain seems to be ok.
These two shots are in my messy garage. Dad keeps telling me to get rid of my bikes =/
more shots here

1+50 in rodinal for 18mins

Looks very nice to me ... is that a 'bucket racer' lurking behind what appears to be a Suzuki possibly? :)

cheers mate :)
You were half right about the bikes.. The one in the back is a 73' CB125 converted to a bucket racer.. massive death trap.. haha.
The other bike is an Aermacchi Harley Davidson (yep a harley made in italy).
Before i got into cameras i used to like fixing up bikes that were older than me... Now i just use camera that are older than me..

Aermacchi ... my god I haven't seen one of those for a while. Harley made some pretty godawful bikes during the amalgamation with AMF ... that 250 was a sweet machine though. A mate of mine still has one! :)

haha yeah, they definately did make some terrible bikes in that period i've noticed..
Mine isnt particularly amazing, but i like it because its quite different and most people these days have never heard of it.. I got it rewired by a friend and it actually works which is nice too..
Talking bikes on a camera forum? My photography skills must be bad, haha :D

I like those photos. Not much grain and good, smooth tones. I've pushed SS myself, but only to 200 and didn't notice a real difference (duh? I dunno ...)

From what I learned S used to be ISO 50, SS 100 and SSS was 200. Sadly all but SS are now gone.

How do you like purple negatives? :)

Cheers mate.
Yeah, i was kind of expecting the purple negatives otherwise so it wasnt so much of a surprise. It was actually the only info i could find on this film haha
