Even tho' I'm very new at RFs, I recently became scanner-capable (barely) and so posted a few recent photos in my gallery taken with my new OMA (object of major affection). Altho the scans aren't reflecting fully what's in the negs and the prints from the lab, you can get some idea of the combo's capability. I've got some pretty good Canon glass in my other incarnation as an SLR person, but nothing so pleasingly sharp and full of character as what this lens can do. (And I'm comparing to the 135/f2 and the 200/f2.8, among others.) I took an SLR with the R2A on a recent short trip to Florida (where some of the photos were taken), but shot over 4:1 with the Bessa.

I realize y'all know this already, but FWIW you've got one more witness to the attractiveness of RF shooting.

I'm really loving this new camera, and wish I'd fallen into RF a lot earlier.

Looking pretty good, Mike. How do you find this lens/camera combination to use?

Hi Doug. So far, I'm very pleased with the combo. It handles very well, focuses easily and quickly, allows me to shoot without thinking down to 1/15. I handled an R very briefly awhile ago with the CV Classic 2.5/35. My R2A is quite different with its Ultron lens - heavier and less sporty feeling that the R. Shutter sound is not as pleasing as the R, R2A is more like my Elan, I think.

I'm too inexperienced with RFs to offer much insight. All I can really say is that the camera fits me very well and just encourages me to shoot. It's got that good karma kind of feel that I got from the Praktica and Nikkormat equipment I used in the 70s when I got started. Kind of a roots sort of feel.

Mike, what a nice way of expressing it!
