mfogiel, thanks for the input. I will be expanding the sections you speak of dramatically, but starting with a few general pieces, including reviews, was the easiest way of laying down some basic structural foundations. I have generally approached the reviews from a non-technical perspective, concentrating instead on 'utility' for the ambitious and dedicated photographer. Whether I pull of that balance, or whether it works at all, will come down to opinion and I will 'test and adjust' as I go along.
I will also find a way of splitting the display of the last 10 post down the middle between reviews and technique/behind the photo material, which will help lend balance to the site.
As far as direction is concerned, this will not become another gear review site and those reviews undertaken will continue to point towards serious application, preferably within the documentary, reportage and street realms.
Jarski, good points and thank you. I've used feedburner for the RSS so it should let you know when there is new material available. Twitter is next on my list, but any other ideas?
And for everyone, input in terms of what you'd like to see written about is very welcome. I also encourage anyone and everyone to post comments, ask questions and get involved in any way they wish (as long as its clean and does not involve horrible abuse of my character and or death threats!!!)
