New Brighton - Merseyside (of Martin Parr fame)

Hi there
I'm taking an impromptu trip to New Brighton where Parr shot the photos for his book "Last Resort".

Anyone know it and have any top tips on what to shoot? I'm going to explore the places he went to, but I'm sure things have changed there since the 60s!

Well, it was the 80s when he shot it for the Last Resort but it's still changed a fair bit. Cheap flights to the Med have made it a lot quieter in summer for a start! It'll be interesting to see what you find.

I stand corrected! Thanks Tom. I'll be sure to let you know what turns up. I've taken lots of photos in seaside resorts that have seen better days recently. I think they're particularly weird places... Here are a few from Blackpool, and some from Jaywick Sands and Clacton.
