New category for the gallery

Large scale shutterless CMOS like devices will be available sooner or later i.e big ass sensor point n' shoots in a rangefinderlike body.
Anyway, it was a PHILOSOPHIC question.

I guess this is preparing the RFF website for the DigiM. An event that will likely as not represent the high water mark of this site.

And then....?

Was worth a try :) Wonder how that would fare for users of the Panasonic DMC-LC1 or the Digilux 2?

Don't tell, but we whisper when we post our pictures.;)

Possible DRF definition?

Possible DRF definition?

the discussion above about the definition of a digital rangefinder camera (which I didn't join in at the time) is like the current discussion about 'what is a planet?' - it's all a matter of making up an arbitrary definition we can agree to.

So, in all humility, I'll offer a definition, please feel free to pull it apart!

A digital rangefinder is a digital camera that is not a DSLR and has a 4/3 sensor or larger (ie crop factor <= 2).

Comments welcome.
