I do not live in the U.S., but will be travelling to Denver CO in May. Will fly from Tokyo into and out of Denver International Airport. My question concerns the new CT scanners that are being put in place for scanning carry-on luggage. What effect do these new high-powered X-ray devices have on film? Has anyone had recent experience flying out of Denver International Airport? I would like to carry medium format film rolls, but with the new CT scanners and all the hassle associated with getting medium format film checked, I am thinking of using 35mm film instead, which is easy to hand-check. Any experience or comments on these new CT scanners for carry-on film?

Not sure why 120 film is more difficult to take through check in. I recently flew and was surprised to see (while waiting in line) government posters telling you to have film with ISO > 400 hand checked.
