Airport CT scanners

Yes...I flew out of both Munich & Frankfurt last fall and had very friendly interactions at security and had no problems getting my film hand-inspected.

Thanks very much for that, 38Deardoff. That's give me a bit of heart. I am so uninspired by my digital camera and was really wanting to take a film camera. I might go one of your favourite routes and take a CL.

Have a great trip.
IMO with a wide angle, 400 iso film and zone focused the CL quickly becomes a pretty sweet highgrade point & shoot.

Two question for my Canadian friends. I'll be returning to the Motherland later this summer, hoping to fly with film. We'll be taking one domestic flight from Vancouver (YVR) to Calgary (YYC). Have the YVR and YYC airports installed the film zapping CT scanners, and is CATSA amenable to requests to hand check film?

Vancouver has CT scanners in at least some areas. Hand checking without problems. I haven't flown domestically out of Calgary, but in their international departures it's still X-ray machines & they will hand check film on request.
