I haven't seen this posted yet, but forgive me if it's a repost.
I just saw this over at leicarumors.com. Yes, yes, I know it's just a rumor and all that. There are no sources listed, either, but this site has been pretty good with its CV lens rumors turning out to be true. If so, what do you all think?
I'm not a 35mm guy, so I'm not terribly interested in that lens, but it does seem like a landmark in lens design. Has their ever been a 35mm lens that fast? It's also good news for fans of the f/1.2 version, which was recently discontinued. I can only imagine how large it's going to be.
Of more interest to me is the 50mm f/1.4. CV already has a pretty healthy 50mm lineup with the f/3.5 and f/2 Heliars, the f/2.5 Color Skopar, the f/1.5 Nokton, and the f/1.1 Nokton. I'm wondering why they decided (if the rumor turns out to be true) to put out an f/1.4 lens? A new design? Smaller size (hopefully)? Maybe just a variation on the f/1.5 Nokton but in an M-mount, as they have been replacing old LTM lenses with M-mount equivalents?
Maybe Mr. Abrahamsson or Mr. Gandy can chime in here with some info.
Here's the story:

Uh oh. I just read the comments and it seems like this may just be someone's wish-list. Maybe it's junk news after all.
