New Digital Leica Back

Scripting and 3D printing used for something not practical in 99% for Leica backs, except alignment testing.
But with SLRs it might work as super tele with tele lenses.

The best one that never was looked like a film cassette with the sensor sticking out of the side mimicking enough film for an exposure.

Sort of the reverse of a car towing a wood-burning stove.

I looked up the phrase, having never heard it, and I was taken to several websites promoting installing wood stoves in RV's, which doesn't really seem like all that great an idea to me. Maybe it would be okay if you had an 18 wheeler RV or something.

To be honest, trying to look through the eyepiece is a non starter. The Leica camera ergonomics and small size has gone to pot.

No, I think it's just about the absurdity of the combination, that makes it funny. I just couldn't tell if the car was the Leica and the digital gizmo, the stove; or vice versa.
