I'm not. I've wanted a high end folder for years but can't see spending the $$$ that decent ones bring on ebay & elsewhere - and then still only having a 50+ year old camera with probable issues or a much newer Fuji with enormous issues... :bang:
But only slightly more (say up to $1000 USD), new & from a known quantity manufacturer is a much more appealing concept. It would be the second new camera in my life - the last was a Canon AE-1 in 1983 that taught me this hobby.
I will find the money for one. My wife is certain I'm nuts but I've gotten her on board. All I really want to know is how much & when 🙂

But if the camera turns out to be $3000, I suspect much of that interest will drop off rather quickly. There's some discussion of a recent video in Japanese, where someone from FujiFilm discusses the possible price of the camera here--

I agree with David, it will depend on the price of the product. At $3000. my interest would be close to zero.

Fuji are well-experienced in designing cameras for many sectors of the market, and Cosina are well-experienced in fabricating cameras for other companies at attractive prices.
A fixed lens 6x7 folder with no obvious gee whiz features need not be at all expensive.

That's why my name is not on the list, even though it is a really interesting camera, and I shoot Fuji rangefinders. (have an M8, but like film).
We'll see what the final selling price is; IMHO, Fuji should take the same approach as the razor companies; give away the handles but sell the blades, if they want to keep profits up in general.

at $3000, i would laugh, suck it up, and buy a mamiya 7ii.
at $2000, i would hesitate, suck it up, and buy a fuji gf670.
at $1500, i would run to buy one, and buy the wide angle version if it ever came out.

I like the "that's why I'm not on the list" comment above, as if Stephen is going to somehow force people to buy a camera at any price because they sent him an email.

Oh, I don't know, C41 120 format film is getting pretty close 😱 and I do believe that only Fuji still makes 220 (other than Kodak's Tri-X). Sell me a 667 for $1000 and they'll more than make up the cost in 120 format Reala & Acros.

Yes, there are a fair number of emulsions available in 120 right now. I was saying though that in the end film is the razor blades and if Fuji or anyone wants to keep selling that there has to be demand. I'm happy to do my part to sustain that demand 😀

There is nothing really new or innovative about this camera, which is one of the reasons I am on the List...
There is also no real reason to be concerned about reliability or durability. Consider the source.
This folder is fairly routine, even mundane, technology. That's in it's favor. Furthermore, it's being built by two companies who are rather incredible for what is being offered. Three, the interest almost seems to indicate a lot of buyers at the right price. Both Fuji and Cosina understand this.
The most credible sources I have seen place both cameras in the $1200 US neighborhood for price. I'm absolutely on board for either one at that, although I'd prefer the Fuji, because I have used so many of their rangefinders and had three of the original folders. I currently own two of the big rangefinders (690 normal and wide) and a GA645Zi.
I'm sure I won't be disappointed with the Voigtlander, because I'm confident it's exactly the same camera down to the lens glass... EBC lens from Fuji. I suspect there is some production reason, but more likely a tax or political reason for Cosina to even be involved in this project.

I'd be interested in hearing other impressions of it from Japanese speakers, and particularly who the two gentlemen are that are speaking about it. If they have access to the camera, presumably they work for Fuji or one of them does. The guy without the tie is wearing a Fujifilm ID in this video, but if you look at the YouTube site, he seems to be an interviewer who doesn't work for Fuji. The person who explained the video in the APUG link above says he is in fact an interviewer, and the person in the tie is in charge of camera development for Fujifilm.
