I was surprised when I received my new Gordy's strap today (only took 1 week). My first impressions are very very positive. I opted for the vertical hang tripod mount model, I think this is a great way to carry a camera if you're only taking one. The strap appears to be much stronger than they look online; very well made with thick high quality leather. Initially I was concerned about the tripod "lug" but it seems to have just enough tension to stay put while slung over one's shoulder.

Right now the strap has a home on my Nikon S2, which is used daily. I think that this type of strap will be ideal for a screw mount Leica; as soon as I receive my IIC back from Essex (and my Elmar from Focal Point) I will be using this on that camera exclusively.

Thanks again to Jamie Pillers, this kind of stuff helps make RFF a great online community. I will pay it forward with a similar contest (different prize) by the time I get to 500 posts.

Sorry for the crumby pic.

Very nice. I have a few of Gordy's products. Did you opt for the neck pad?

I did. I think I'm going to order one or two more straps from him, of the horizontal type. They're so nice and compact and still kinda stylish. I love my Luigi (Leicatime) strap, but it's kinda chunky and gets in the way sometimes. I love the Domke grippers, but they've got so many plastics and metal bits on them.. These are good examples of simple functionality.
