Hello. I am new to the forum and so far its a great source of help and inspiration. I recently bought a Canonet QL17 GIII. Tested it out and am very pleased with the results. The camera appears to me in great shape except for the case. For now I am using the plastic case from an older "new canonet 28" The light seals are new and all rings seems to me working great.
The lens itself has slight play from the body. (really slight) Is this issue worth resolving?

I can definetly see why some of you seem to be addicted to the rangefinder world. I have always had an old Argus C3 on my shelf for some reason. After playing with it for a bit I went out and got a Canonet 28, 2 weeks later I got my QL17 GIII.

Thanks!

I've a Canonet QL17 also, and also has the lens barrel slightly loose, but the photos came out OK, so don't worry about that. Just enjoy that beatiful machine.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for the input. When I checked my Canonet 28 that lens is tight. I think the screws are under the camera skin material right? Not worth lifiting?

I have been thinking of getting back into using my SLRs and I think I may enjoy a rangefinder more. Been using my digital for about a year miss the effect of film. Find myself trying to get the effect of film on a digital too often. Its just easier to use film.

Some of my more current stuff.
