I guess I've gotten too old and cantankerous but not one new camera has stirred my blood in the last few years. They just don't look like proper cameras. And if you want a one function shutter speed dial you have to pay a fortune.

i think i paid 700 cdn for the rx100...it's the best small camera i have ever used.

I find that flush shutter button is not very practical to keep things super steady with slow shutter speeds.

i did see some advertised somewhere...but then read that they fall off easily...

I like it! And am glad I traded away my RX100 before the announcement. Hotshoe is nice. But the feature I really like is using the ring to go to a set focal length in the zoom range. Very nice.

That looks very good, but it's not on the Sony UK site...
If things follow the usual pattern, it'll turn up in the UK (eventually) for about four times the price...
