New lens - finally (some first photos inside - 35 Cron, 50 Lux)

Today, I took one more step towards using more rangefinder cameras and less heavy DSLRs.

I sold my former favorite lens on the D300 - the Nikon 17-35 f2.8.

I finally found a 35 Summicron ASPH, the first Leica lens, I actually used, that really cached me unprepared back then. I am so excited about this, I had to share it here ;-)

There will be photographs to come on my website (only a small update today on my blog). For now, I share some first frames with you - nothing special so far. I promise, to do more substantial shooting soon:



"traffic" - EPSON R-D1 + 50 Lux - the 17-35 sitting on the passenger seat, begging to stay - no way you overweighted bugger!

"last bird's dance" - my last frame with the 50 Lux today, drive by shot

"negotiating" - the price shown is for a non coded 35 Cron ASPH

"sitting targets" - I picked the sharpest, fitting in focus to my 50 Lux - very patient shop owner, highly recommended shop

"shop owner" - after the deal, we ate cookies and I headed back home ;-)

"overload" - again traffic
