New M42 SLR for instax mini film

I am not convinced. The image circle of M42 lenses is too small.
They should have made an instax mini back for Mamiya 645 cameras instead. That would have been the perfect fit.

If you look at the photos in the Kickstarter you can see the circular image on the Instax film.

This Kickstarter has a better chance of becoming real than projects to renew manufacture instant films, but I think a lot of people who might have been interested in this have probably been burned by various crowd sourced projects that over-promised and failed to deliver.

You need a medium format camera lens to cover even Instax mini format. An M42 lens won't do it.

That's too limited for my pledge dollars.
