New member wants to know--Will Bessa R2A "brass"?

Greetings all. Great and informative community here. Currently getting together the $$ to make the leap. I have settled on the R2A and was just wondering if it would brass after many images and adventures? I know it seems like a silly question. Just curious. Haven't decided on the glass yet.

The top plate is not made of brass so it won't.

A better-phrased question would be "How durable/tough is the finish."

the paint will chip off, usually on the four feet on the bottom, the corners, and controls. not sure how the gray paint bessas wear, though.

That's pretty much what I figured. Just hoping for that lovely brass peeking through like my F3. My D1X's just show a dull gray alloy. Only what comes out of the camera really matters anyway.
