I recently joined the RFF ( two hours ago ). I am a photographic archivist and have used rangefinder cameras for over 30 years. I am currently teaching photography at technical college in New South Wales, Australia. My user RF cameras are a Yashica 35 GSN and a HAPO 66e.

Hi, welcome to the forum! I for one would love to learn something about what the job of a photographic archivist is about, especially any tips you might have on preserving negatives and prints.

Welcome!!! This is a great place to discuss all kinds of things related to photography.
Every once in a while I hear of a camera I've never heard of before. Your HAPO 66e is one. Guess I'll have to look that up. Keeps things interesting.

bsdunek, The HAPO 66e is a German 6x6 folder with a non-coupled rangefinder. It is a Balda Baldix (from memeory0 made for HAns POrst - HAPO. It is pretty good at f8 or smaller. It dates from the 1950s. Regards Peter.

Rover,
I can send photos of the HAPO - no worries. Not too sure how to do this on this site yet - will do so as a PM to you once I figure it out. Peter.
