Thought I'd share this here. LED ring light for street shooting at night. On an m6 with a 21. Can't wait to shoot it. I'll post the results as soon as I can get out there!

imho, interesting.

But, .02 . . . . I'd personally run a higher ISO & fast glass

^ Again my personal opinion.

Keep us posted :)

I shoot 3200 and 6400 regularly. I love grain. But, I want to zone focus and flashes have been getting me into bad situations. If people see the light coming they won't be as surprised.

What sort of distance do you get with it?

I'm use to seeing those used for fashion photography; primarily short distance work.

Wow...impressive. Where did you get this and who makes it? Power is from...???

Thanks for posting, I have never seen this on an M.

Hmm, ringflashes I've always known for close up work, macro or fashion as said. I'd be curious also to know the range you get with this, seems like it might not work as well as flash. But maybe its best not to speculate so early. Good luck

It not a flash but a fill light right? I think its pretty cool. I think it will attract attention which might be good and bad. The major issue i would worry about is uneven light. So if you shoot from the hip, maybe the face is not well lit, but the body is..

Anyway, very interesting and I can't wait to see the results. A 21 mm at night with flash is so much fun, but flash does give away the moment....

It can do both, flash or fill. I can also illuminate either the left or right side. I rarely shoot from the hip but that's worth keeping in mind.
