I've been gifted with a Canon EOS10 and a 35-105mm zoom lens. Anybody ever used one of these beasties? I've got to get a new battery for it, which I think will be easier than trying to get a battery for my OM-1. It's pretty big and plasticky, but I love it! Especially the free part. As soon as I get the battery, I'm off to the moon with the Flying Festoon.

With best regards.

I bought one of those lenses attached to an eos 650 a few months ago for peanuts. It's a nicely made lens, unfortunately this one had a thick layer of haze on one of the elements pretty deep in the lens. Tried to disassembling to clean it, but they are way too complicated and need special tools.

Anyway, just check that it isn't hazy inside. Seems to be a common problem on older Canon EOS zooms.

Is it an EOS 10s

The 10s had a better AF than previous EOS models, and a new body style, with better electronics..
and a built in interval timer, although, more a mid-entry model.
Introduced in March 1990.

The EOS 35-105 f/3.5-4.5 is a very good lens for a Consumer lens. I had one, and used it at Weddings!! not an issue..
there was a later version with gear-less focusing... I forget what Canon called that. You may have that one?
