Like to show a shot . One of the first I have taken with here. I used a sixtino and time was somewaht like guessing.
So if someone likes to sell a lightmeter (sekonic twinmate) or older fashend that looks great with the camera🙄 Please Pm. (Got not that much money in time)

Thanks everybody

Well my friend, you have the first Leica M, and the best Leica M in my opinion. I just got mine back from being CLA'd last night, and I'm anxious to take it for a walk.

Enjoy

Congratulations! Great camera, I have one just like it. Stay with it without the meter for a little while. I'll bet you can get pretty close in most situations. Hunt down a good discussion of the sunny 16 rule. You'll find it here I'm sure.

fyi, sunny 16 is f16 at midday (11 am to 2 pm in summer) full sun and the film speed as the shutter speed. open the aperture a stop as the day gets grayer. f 5.6is good average bright dull overcast.

my dad grilled this into me as a young teen in the 1950s. i use it nearly every day, film, RF, metered, digital or not.

winter full sun at midday is usually f 11 @ 1/film spped unless you're doing the snow. then you just ski and drink a lot and wait for the parties to start at 5.
