The new version Matte Black Voigtlander R3A is now in stock, at the same price as previous version, $539. Differences include the same matte black paint finish as on the R4A, and the later stronger double hinged rewind lever.

The new M mount 21/4 P is in stock. The new M mount 25/4 P will be in stock next week. Although the same excellent glass as the previous screw mount versions, the P versions have very "Leica Like" style lens barrels. Both take 39mm filters, and the existing optional LH-1 Square lens hood. The non RF coupled screw mount 25's are discontinued, replaced by the RF coupled 21/4 P. Mr. K continues to improve the Voigtlander lineup over time. The new 21P and 25 P lenses cosmetically look more like current production Leica lenses than previous production VC lenses.

People don't seem to be getting what a huge deal the wide angle Voigtlander R4A/R4M's are. With their super bright unique RF/RF with built in 21/25/28/35/50 framelines, they are landmark cameras, instant classics in my opinion.

As announced earlier on RFF, the screw mount 35/1.7 is discontinued. While popular with users, strangely it did not sell that well--ditto for the wonderful 28/3.5 and super compact 50/2.5. The black 35/1.7, black 28/3.5, and black 25 screw mounts are now sold out at the factory. Also discontinued is the screw mount 25, 28/3.5, and 50/2.5. .

the black 15/4.5 and 21/4 screw mounts are sold out at the factory until the next production run in June

the black 75/2.5 and 90/3.5 are sold out at the factory until the next production run in October

so if you are interested, get the black 25/4, 28/3.5, 35/1.7 while store stocks last, and the black 15/4.5, 21/4, 75/2.5 and 90/3.5 before the delay of the next production runs.

Mr. K is always working on more new lenses and cameras than most camera makers, but only a few actually make it to the end of a production line. One nice lens that did not make it was the 35/1.2 in Nikon Rangefinder Mount. So time will tell what he has in factory for us.
