just mentioned over on mirrorless rumours:

They're talking as if Fuji will be using their new organic sensor technology in the upcoming LX interchangeable lens model, but as it's on the internet, I don't believe it until i see it.

Some mention of similarities with Foveon. I'll leave the technical discussion to more knowledgeable heads than mine!
 
The diagram is entirely different from Foveon. And they would be the first maker to implement a new sensor technology first in a large area sensor - generally new chip technologies have to be applied to small structures first, as the initial yield of error free larger chips is too small to be feasible. In general, early applications tend to be in a uncritical field where short life and high error rates don't matter or remain unnoticed - i.e. that new sensor is likely to appear in cellphone cameras first.
 
Great maybe they should learn how to mature a product before going onto the next big thing! Does anyone have any idea how many engine designs Honda has in their back pockets yet we only see a few get delivered to the product line?
