There is something wrong with the processing - either overdevelopment or scanner clipping or both. This lens with this kind of film should deliver better tonality.

I dont know what is wrong...maybe scanning..Iam not good at it..

Dev:

Microphen 20C 1:1 12min
Aggitation every 1 min..3-4 times invert tank in first 5 sec

What are yours "spec" for that photos?

The film after development should not be overly dense if you want to scan - the darkest parts should be somewhat transparent on a light table. Above all, you have to display a histogram in preview with your scanner, and make sure there is no highlight clipping. If this should be the case, try scanning as positive and invert later in PS.

Actually, your look rather grainy for a small enlargement of Tri-X. I didn't think the OP's shots were all that bad. The one of the young girl looks spot-on. I could see where slight adjustments could be made in the future: a little more exposure to capture shadow, a little less development. But there's more right than wrong here. Great lens, that Summaron.

Although Goran has some nice shots, I think he could have done something different to preserve a lot of the tones in his images. Large portions are simply blank. Not a criticism but I bet with a little tweaking, future images come closer to what B&W is capable of.

Keep experimenting :)
