I have the ZE version (same lens but in Canon EOS mount). An excellent lens! I used in initially adapted to Sony (Sigma MC-11 adapter) and more recently to Leica SL (Urth AF adapter). Of course my variant, being in Canon mount requires an electronic adapter like these because it is necessary to control the aperture through the camera. I know the later tranche (the V2 models) of the ZF lenses also come equipped with electronic controls but unlike mine also has a manual aperture control ring.
This was one of the first shots I ever took with it. (On my way home from the camera store upon picking it up IIRC). The bokeh in the deep background looks a little "squirrely" but I have not noticed this tendency in other shots with it (see also the second shot which must have been taken a little later and exhibits bokeh that is everything most people might want. Zeiss glass has never failed to please me in terms of sharpness, contrast and color
