Hi,

After my hicup with the first camera and Robert White's excelent customer service I have to say I am delighted with the first results from this camera :)

Here are a sample (mixture of Voigtlander 35/2.5, Zeiss Ikon 25/2.8 & 50/2 lenses). I'm particularly impressed with the high Iso/Low light quality. My Nikon D2X is feeling jilted :D

Hi Keith,

There's always someone waiting to rain on the parade, isn't there? <G> Congratulations, the pictures look good and I hope you enjoy the camera very much.

Cheers,

Sean

For all who pass, just remember one things. Those who don't pass are out taking pictures with a digital RF while the passer uppers are not :)

I love the B&W renditions of the RD1.

beautiful shots, Keith.. if I could afford it, I'd definitely consider the RD-1.. hope you enjoy yours!

Hi Keith,

Pleased your enjoying your R-D1 Thanks for the great pics!

They will soon be gone at Roberts Whites current reduced price I am glad I got one a couple of weeks ago and only regret I couldnt afford it earlier.

I really like that library shot, which brings home the fact that if I had an R-D1, I know I'd be snapping a lot more often than I do currently. On a related note, I just returned from the library, where I happily scored the Pop Photo mag from March'05 with the R-D1 cover story, from the "free" rack. I had checked-out this issue so many times over the past year, they should've just willed it to me. :) Hope you will post many more of your shots.

I love my RD1 also. I bought it when they first came out. I have had no problems with mine at all. The results I have gotten are wonderful. Congradulations on getting such a wonderful camera.

Great shots, Keith! If you're gonna go digital, yours seems the very best way to go right now (as far as I'm concerned, anyway) :)

Congrats! I think the R-D1 is a great little camera and I'm sure you'll appreciate it more over time.

I'm having my first exhibition of my R-D1 pics next month and was surprised by the quality of the b/w A1 sized prints I made last week, especially considering the files were shot in jpeg! These are the first large prints I've done from this camera and even at those sizes, the film like quality of the R-D1 images are still preserved. It's RAW for me from now on.

Congratulations on your purchase, there'll be no regrets.

Welcome to the happy owner club :)
I never touched my Canon 1ds since the day i got this camera. Mine also lives in B&W mode ........
Great samples BTW.

Welcome to the R-D1 Pioneer Club. No matter what other people say, WE know we have the prettiest girl at the ball. Come to think of it, she's the only girl at THIS ball.
Some say we are getting F*CK*D, I say we are the only ones getting laid.

Love that bookstore shot. People in libraries and bookstores always make for great shots...
And, about this whole R-D1 thing, I think all of you guys are pioneers for the digital world!

Wow! I wonder how long they will last at RW. They seem to sell well at the low price, and since many also need to be returned for exchange... ;)

Glad you like it though! I am sure I would to if I would cough up the dough. It is tempting.. but given my last experience in my digital darkroom I have started to think in the direction of going back to a real darkroom. So I am happy I have stayed with film at the moment.
