Well, it's second hand but it's new to me and from the condition you would never know.

I've been desiring a R2a for a few years but never found one I could afford. Today I was lucky. I stumbled across it in the shop and bought with little thought for the new carpet I needed at home. Ooops!

Until I can afford some decent Voightlander lenses I have very good condition Jupiter 8 at home I thought I could use. What do I need to buy to fit it to the camera body? How much should I expect to pay?

You cannot use a carpet to take photos with. A Nobel Prize winner has established this fact recently. Rest assured that you have done the right thing.

You'll be needing an LTM to M mount adaptor, that can be had quite easily and cheaply from eBay 🙂

Congrats on the camera! It's a great camera and it takes great pictures. Well, no greater then any other camera, but it's really nice to use! 😉

Regarding your question, you need a 50mm LTM (M39) to M adapter, which can cheaply be bought from eBay, or more expensively from Cosina. I have a Chinese one and my J-8 wokrs perfectly with it on my R2A.

I like the idea that you'll stick with J-8... Fingers crossed! 🙂

SirAlien, i bought one myself 3 years ago, second hand, but unboxed, good value for the money, the rangefinder is always a bit out of the line. When i had to decide which camera for 10 days in NewYork (D60 18-70mmor bessa with 35, 50mm) i took the Bessa and schoot Astia .Some slides were a bit out of focus, because the 35mm turned itself out of focus on wearing on my schoulder. Next time i will scotch it on hyperfocus. When a Leica is too expensive, a Bessa is worth the money.Ilost the eypiece finder in NY , B and H had one in stock.luckily

I have an R2a and like it so much I use it quite a bit with CV lenses. I use a J-8 also and get spectacular shots. You'll really like yours I'm sure it is a capable camera and my exposures are right on even with slides.
