Just saw it on dpreview as well. Sigma with M mount? And they are talking about an announcement from Sigma today. Cant wait to see the specs. if it is true.

It looks to me like it's a hacked DP1 with an M mount adapter, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

It's obviously an adapter; my m4/3 to M adapter looks exactly the same as what's shown on the sigma, including the white text on the top of the barrel.
Does anyone find it odd how much this looks like sigma's point and shoots? It's almost as though someone just hacked one apart...

A chinese photographer reworked the Sigma DP1/2, he removed the fixed lens to add a lens mount (The picture shows the Sigma with the Leica Elmarit f/4 90mm). According to the author:
1. He can put a M4/3 mount on it, then you can use mount adapter to convert to other mounts.
2. The author had tested drive an additional mechanical shutter to replace the original electronical one. He is ording parts from a Japanese factory.
3. The author vaguly mentioned possibility to drive AF lens, I don’t know if he/she had done any prototype or it is just doable.

Alas.... When I saw the M-mount, I was very excited. A dedicated M-mount camera I thought..... Oh well. Back to dreaming.

any sample photos from this combo? That would be really my dream! I have sigma and I love its similarity to film on BW. I would love to be able to mount my leica lenses!!!
