New stupid mistake

There are regularly threads on photographer´s mistakes coming along. I usually know most of the confessed thing by own experiance.
Yesterday I discovered a this error by me which I read about.

I have no problems with loading the M3, after the first roll it has been easy, in fact more easy than the usual loading in the older cameras.
Last evening whenI was going to put away the M3, half roll exposed, I happened to look at the back. It didn´t look and feel right, and was not. The back flap door was lying outside the bottom plate. Lifted, film there, rewined and deposited. :bang:

I will most certainly make annoying mistakes in the future, but never this one. Promise.

 Well I haven't done that one myself yet Per but its probably only a matter of time. Of course those pics on the first half of the roll were the best you had ever taken, right? ;)

Have not been thinking of that option yet, but thanks for the idea . . . to look after I mean.
Still waiting for that bloody camera to arrive .. . . but meanwhile its nice to read about what not to do. Just have to walk around with the G2 for some weeks more then.

I ruined one of my first rolls with a Bassa R3A this spring. It turned out the film was never loaded, and I shoot and developed a whole 36 roll of blanks :bang: . And the beautiful spring photos remain in my mind.

The Ms are safer in this aspect, as the rewind knob turns with every turn of the film advance lever. On the R3A, you need to look at a tiny red dot to move in the center of the knob axis, as the rewind knob knob itself doesn't move at all.

edit: ehh, I mean there WAS a film loaded, but it hadn´t hooked on to the advance mechanism.

A first mistake is never stupid, it's just a learning experience. Making it twice can be attributed to a momentary lack of concentration. Only by the third time it's downright stupid... Anyone interested in three pictures of the inside of my HexarAF lenscap ??

I misloaded the first roll in my Canon IV, and I know that the shots I took were great.

First roll of film I put in my Bessa R was exposed after it never wound into the casset properly, it didnt wind on well either. Sadly when I got the camera I was really knackered, so I didnt load it propperly I rekon. So as time wore on, each wind got harder and harder to do. After taking all 24 shots, I wound it back in and thought it was all in. So I opened up the back and BAM, it wasnt :p Not sure if its worth taking in to get dev'ed tho. Like what most of you have said, I am sure some of those shots were fantastic too! ;)

Welcome to the club!I changed "never make the same mistake twice" to "never admit to the same mistake twice"
