Your lens looks beautiful in chrome. I wish that o e day someone compares lenses from batches 1 and 2. Are they different in any way at all other than cost?
 
I don’t think so apart from changing coating from blue to amber, but based on what I’ve read this didn’t necessarily correspond with the batch change. Otherwise I’m not aware of any differences, but maybe your wish will be granted at some point in the future by someone in the community!

I'd prefer your padded lens case to the metal one I got.

My first batch lens has "V1LC" engraved on the bottom of the lens when mounted along with some Chinese characters. Yours has "V2LC" on the front ring... are there any markings on the "bottom"?

Mine only has Chinese characters. Does not say “V2LC” along that area of the lens.

The 1st 2 characters are zhoug guo (means middle country/China)..I dont know what the 3rd character means..
I cant believe I actually remembered that from my Chinese class in 10th grade..back in 1972..
I had a lot of Chinese friends in nyc back then..and wanted to be able to converse w/them..
But only took 1 year of Chinese..
I still remember all the curse words my buddies taught me though..lol..
And the right things to say to the ladies..
And how to count to 10..

means China made, pronounced Zhong Guo Zhi in Mandarin Chinese, also called 'common spoken language' 普通話 in China

the LLL used the Traditional Chinese

It's interesting that LLL opted to use traditional rather than simplified characters for the engraving. They certainly look cooler 😎
国 is the common variant used in Japanese, but there are cases where 國 is used too (e.g. Yasukuni Shrine's official name is 靖國神社) so no problem to read it.
