Now SF Express only provides insured services in the United States, Russia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, but not in Europe and others. Full tracking information can be provided on their official website.

Here is SF Express official website.

https://www.sf-express.com/us/en/

We can provide other shipping options like EMS, which can cover more areas.

I chose SF Express as it seems to be the service that the lens makers prefer.

This is so cool. Just placed my order for a brass one with my birthday date.
Kevin, do you think there will be a custom engraving also on the hood?
It would be cool to have a matching custom engraved set

They don't plan to provide engraving service for the replica hood. But if people really want to engrave something on the hood, they could take it as a special request, which means it would add extra cost. Considering that the hood is very cheap, it will make you feel like the engraving cost is high.

I got a Chrome version. I copied Raid, and went with 8ELEMENTS. This will be the first new lens I have ever purchased.

I asked last night my wife and one of our daughters which finish I should get. One person voiced some concerns on the "golden version" while the other preferred the brass one as I did not own any lens in brass finish.
I chose the brass finish with SC. I own an original Summicron 35/2 8 elements anyways.

I'm going to order mine..as soon as I figure out what to put on the front ring..lol..

Just take your time. You are on my buying list.

But we do have a deadline for the first group of ordering. Most likely we will stop accepting orders in the middle of this month. Because the maker needs to make sure they can meet the earliest order before continue to open reservations again.

Very excited to get this lens!

I went with black paint, SC, and 8ELEMENTS as engraving.

Kevin, will the hood and finder come in a black option as well?

V1LC 中國製造(made in China) by Kevin-Xu, on Flickr

Here is the final retail version engraving on the lens barrel with traditional Chinese characters "中國製“ on it.

V1LC:
V1 = Version One
L = Flint Lead-Glass
C = Single Coating

Thx Kevin!
Is the lens going to indicate on ring or barrel..either single or multi coated?

You are welcome.

Please see my old post above. SC or MC will be engraved on the lens barrel to indicate its version.

Kevin

I am already planning for the lens "after the 50/1.2 replica".
Will it be a 21mm lens by any chance?
Tele lenses are boring.

I had hoped not to have personalisation but that seemed impossible, so after long thought I've transferred my naming convention from old Benzes (of which I hope merely to keep the one I have and acquire no other) of calling them after Wagnerian heroines to lenses.

Also submitted the form and selected black paint single coating. The Cron 8E has long been on my wishlist but never acquired one due to the inflated market prices. So glad I stumbled across this today after quite some time away from RFF. Thanks also to Kevin for all the information!

My vote for the next replica after the Noctilux is the 35 Lux pre-ASPH. After that, maybe the 50 Lux pre-ASPH v1.

I guess to make this worthwhile for the producer, replicas of high cost and somewhat rare lenses are probably more likely? In this respect, I can appreciate the Noctilux as the next project. Maybe we'll also see a 75 Lux?

Kevin: one thought for those of us late to the party. Maybe edit your first post with the most current update and ordering information. It would save having to read backwards through the thread to find some of this, though there is a lot of useful information to be found along the way.

Hmm just noticed I already have two IROOA hoods.
But I’d like one brass or all black finish to match my brass lens. The stock ones are silver/chrome and black.

Same as my situation. I have at least two IROOA lens hoods.
