UPDATE:

To all the friends here who are interested in this lens, I am so sorry that I was not able to update anything here in the past few weeks. But don't worry, the maker is still working very hard on this project, the final result is very promising. And the final version will have a big improvement in anti-flare performance, focus smoothness, and include many other details. I will release more information in the following days. Please stay tuned.

Regarding buying this lens, the maker will provide me the details about how and when to order it. I think the first batch will be released at the end of November. But I am sorry that I cannot give you an exact date here. People who leave comments here or send my private messages will be put on the buying list. If more people want to state the willingness to buy the lens, please send your message to the following email address since it's more convenient and easy to organize. My RFF private message box is full now...

Best regards,

I am thinking of creating a link for people to put their information on the buying list online. To make it convenient for all of us. But I still need time to figure it out. And more importantly, I need the maker to provide an example of a buying form for personally customized orders so that I could make an online version with all the necessary selections.

So I really wish people could wait until I create an online buying form.

Thanks for all your supports! I am sorry that I cannot reply to each of your comments. But your comments mean a lot to the lens maker and me.

And here is one more photo to show all three paint options in the first batch. Please note that they are still the prototype.

Here is the front ring design. And a real example. "xxxxxxxx" is the space for customization, to allow you to put special engraving on each of your lenses. Personalize it for free.

NOTE: As you can see the real example has 9 space. The maker told me that if the customer really want to put 9 numbers/alphabet on it, they can do that but will adjust the spacing and the size of the engraving to make them fit the space.

oh my, that chrome is actually gorgeous.
i wonder if the maker could make a "RFF" marking or something for buyers from here.

*Edit ^well that answers my question LOL

Yes 8 Element would do nicely;

the Chrome is amazing! Very very good looking chrome which is making me rethink my original choice of black paint!

QUESTION: What will be the weight with the chrome in comparison to the Black Paint?
It really is a a great project!

The unevenly spaced aperture scale reminds me of MS Optics lenses. Since MS Optics lenses don't have aperture click stops, can we assume that this lens doesn't have click stops either???
