Agreed of course.

But this is a replica. The Summicron 35mm f/2 with 8 elements has even steps. Rather strange that if one makes a replica to deviate from the original on this point, not only seen from the point of usefulness, but also from the point of looks. Allmost all Leica M lenses have evenly spaced f-stops. In my opinion this is a very important design factor.

Perhaps the makers of this replica found it very difficult to copy the original at this point.

Looks like the titanium version is also using a version of the LG 1050 font.

If it were a champagne titanium I'd be tempted to double dip on this lens haha.

The stops @ 2 . 8 and 5 . 6 have too much space, they must be like this: 2.8 and 5.6. Only joking of course.

To me it seems that there is a real equal spacing: the "16" is on the picture invisible and the space between 5.6 and 8 looks smaller than the space between 8 and 11.

Kevin has said that he will let everyone know when he will be doing an order sheet for the 2nd run of the lens.

All of us who are getting our lenses, orders were placed last year.

Just be patient until he announces he is opening up for a 2nd run.

And needless to add that many of us who placed orders the very first day (I think it was Dec 9th) are still waiting for any further steps (request for payment etc).

Just got my colour film scans back from the developer - the first Superia 400 at 200 and the second Fujicolor Pro400h at 200. Exactly as I wanted, nothing washed out or vintage but nothing overdone either. No adjustments to colour levels, sharpness (no sharpening at all in scanning) or saturation.

I call that one outside Princetown Dartmoor Services - a phone, a loo and food on the hoof...

I used the local lab Spectrum once. I have never ever had such shocking negatives returned - one in four bore the marks of where the chemicals didn't cover the film, each had huge dust issues and one required over 200 spots removed. It is lucky I don't print from negatives as those were some of the best shots I've taken in colour.

This lovely batch are from the excellent FilmDev in Stockton on Tees. At £6 a roll including a medium resolution scan I have yet to find anyone as good at close to that price (I feel mean choosing the £4 low resolution option). These were sent last Thursday, so very rapid turnaround normally.
