Some Iskras, mine included, have a problem with light leaks in either the supply or takeup film chamber. There is at least one thread about this on this forum. Apparently the light leaks around loose edge of the camera's covering, along the edge where the front cover opens. I fixed it on mine ( at least I think have filxed it) by lining the film chambers with thin black foam from a light seal kit.
What sort of fogging does this produce? I got a Super Ikonta on eBay that would shoot the first 3-4 frames normally, partially fog the next 3, and then the rest would be totally fogged. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was doing it (I had guessed it might be one of the film chambers leaking), had to return it.

Sounds weird. Only thing I can think of is that it might have a leak in the supply side of the film chamber. Maybe the full roll was blocking the light, but when it got a little lower the light got past the roll?

There are plenty of lightseals in an Iskra. Maybe the detoriation of one or more explains why so many people have trouble with lightleaks on their Iskras.
Here you seen one of the more "hidden" lightseals underneath the filmtransport/counter assy :

That was my thought too, and the previous owner mentioned he'd had to re-attach the film advance knob. I tried poking around with a flashlight in the dark but couldn't find anything. Luckily the camera isn't my problem anymore.
I've got another Super Ikonta (the older one with separate VF/RF windows) that needs three of those tiny screws that hold the RF mechanism around the front element (I lost them), do you know a source for them? I asked Jurgen at Certo 6, but he says he needs to keep the ones he has for the same reason.

That's why, when we who do camera repairs, get a junk camera that is beyond help, we strip every screw we can find off of it, along with mirrors and anything else we can use. Jurgen says he just throws his junkers away, and I don't understand why he would do that.
